Bold tangerine orangey gold color, semi smeared body, capped with a medium sized froth of off-whitened foam that sifts away quickly to a whole lot of patchy sheeted lace and a beefy skimming always present.

Aroma is pale and dry of woody pine and leayness, very slight caramel, and some poofs of citrusy lemon, orange, and grapefruit.

I've had this a few times now and keep forgeting that I wasn't all that impressed. Just over average for taste. Good feel and body but the flavor is kinda mushy with caramel malts and paled in with woodish pine and duller citursy jam. The bitterness is greasy, mellow, and wood heavy in its drying and seemed to be a slight bit off for me with its twist of toasted grapefruit bite. The balance just doesn't hold true for any length and somehow comes across messy, where I'd like to have a cleaner, overall crispness to its hop side.

Feel is about medium with a fairly decent maltyness making a smooth and semi creamy sense over its carbonation. Hops are dullish, dry, and bittered as so with touches to grapefruit pith.

This is a hard one to put numbers to as an IPA. Seems more like a malty pale or even an amber? Its actually not a bad beer, just not something I'd seek out again...if I can remember.

Thanks to Floydster for this one.

Pours a murky golden color with about a half in of foam that quickly settles down.

Aromas of ripe grapefruit and orange upfront with a syrup quality. Then the toasted malts make an appearance with some pineapple, apple, pear, and peach.

The taste follows the aroma very closely. Bitter grapefruit and orange, with a little bit of lime zest then followed by the toasty malt and finishes with some tropical fruits. Some pine flavors and a little mint also comes through. A little grainy in the taste and mouthfeel.

A very decent IPA and one I wouldn't mind having again.

Amber color. Lots of yeast floaties. Great citrus and pine hops smell in the bottle and glass. Maybe semi-sweet? Semi-sweet citrus (grapefruit) taste to start. Then the big hops flavor and slight bitter finish. Medium-ish body. Maybe a little heavier than most others in the style. Good carbonation.

Very good drinking. Strong hops taste might turn some off, especially the decently bitter finish. But drinking several of these would not be a problem. The whole experience is really like eating a grapefruit. This is actually one of my favorite session beers. Haven't had it in a little while. Might have to correct that mistake soon...

Pours a crystal clear amber that forms decently into a foam head. Smell is good, can tell this is an IPA. Pretty simple IPA, but a solid drinker none the less.
