Incidentals: Released as part of Winter Solstice 2006. Shared bottle with BiL.
Appearance: We had already worked through several brews when this one came up. It was the only Kuhnhenn that poured cloudy, but it was a thing of beauty. Reddish hue that really caught the light well.
Smell: I didn't know what had been poured when I got it, so my reaction was one of "oooh, this one's gonna be good.".
Taste: Blind tasting and I instantly recognized it as a strong Scotch Ale. I have rarely had a bottled Scotch ale that is memorable, but I could go on drinking these all evening.
Drinkability: As I mentioned, Scotch ales rarely are able to be bottled well, and this one is a gem. It doesn't go out of its way to hit you over the head, but remained very steady throughout the whole glass.
