22 oz bottle I bought from Hop City in Atlanta. Served up in a snifter.

A: Pours up a deep, glossy black body. Held to the light, remains completely opaque with no light getting through. The pour built up a finger of mocha colored head. This foam just coats the glass with sheeting lace. Lots of stick to it. A spot on, beautiful stout.

S: Deep and heavily roasted grains and malt coming through. Smokey and even mildly burnt. Some chocolate (bitter bakers chocolate) and coffee comes through lightly. Behind all the roast and malt, I am picking up on some dark fruit aromas. Smells very tasty.

T: This is really tasty. Chocolates come through first. Getting dark chocolate, milk chocolate and bakers chocolate notes. Just easy to distinguish and very nice. Behind that comes a bit coffee. This beer finishes nicely with a slow building, but huge roasted grains present. It is taken to the edge of too roasted, but keeps from being too much. Really like this.

M: The body is in the medium range but it takes some concentration to decipher. It really comes across thick and chewy at first, but thins out as it clears the palate. Sweet, roasted, and has a touch of bitterness from time to time. ABV is slightly noticeable in the throat but overall pretty tame. Aftertaste is long lingering roasted grains.

OA: I went into this beer expecting little to none. I guess it work out having no expectations because I am very happily surprised. Just a really good stout overall. It has high points in all areas. Incredibly solid for a year around beer from an upstart brewery. Can't wait to try more beers from Jailhouse. Damned good.
