Pours a clear, golden color. Huge, two finger plus white head, that rather rapidly reduces to about 3/8", and stays due to an active carbonation level. Impressive lacing.

Aroma is sugary/caramel sweet, with a slightly sour contrast. Nice tones of bread and yeast, with a degree of fruity-ness in the form of apple, orange zest and a hint of banana.

Taste follows the nose well. Sweet and malty, with a floral hop overtone to it. Seemingly acidic, sour and dry. The more I have, the more I taste green grapes. Nice, smooth finish, and it is here the alcohol makes its presence known by lending its warmth.

Medium in body, smooth yet dry in mouthfeel. Good carbonation.

This is my first try at this style -- so I am a bit of a newb...
But, I like it. Has a certain white wine (chardonnay?) feel and taste to it. Refreshing, satisfying. I am already envisioning many food pairings for this. As I understand, the other Flemish Primitives are just variations of this same style - I must give them a try also.
Highly recommended!!!
