Pours a bright light gold - almost fizzy yellow beer color, but not quite, with a white head that lasts well into the pint. Aroma is allllll Amarillo; spicy, orange rind, leafy/flowery, with a faint apricot from the malt.

Nigh on crack in a glass. Hard to review when it goes down this fast, but I'll try. Starts with a very balanced lightly toasted malt and bitter hop balance, with orange rind and leafy hop coming in mid sip. The bitterness is there in very solid manner, but never quite trumps the rest of the flavors. Ungodly clean. Late in the sip a toasty graininess arrives, along with a resinous hoppy finish that lasts a long time. Lingering aftertaste of citrus rind and faintly sweet malt. Light to moderately chewy mouthfeel. Drinkability is off the charts.

This place is waaaaay up towards Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, and accessible by five miles of unpaved roads... and worth every mile of the drive. A pale ale that showcases the Amarillo hop brilliantly and to its best effect.
