Another quickie review for a new half acre beer; pours out a mostly clear goldeny yellow/pale-orange color with a short lived puffy/frothywhite head that bubbles away to nothingness. The aroma consists primrily of chamomile and slightly fruity but still funky/dusty belgian yeastiness with some pale sugary/crackery malty sweetness and hints of lemon as well. The chamomile and weird yeast aroma are too dominant; out of balance. The flavor is much better though, with everything melding together in harmony. Some dry hoppy/grassiness on the finish with maybe just a hint of bitterness. Bubbly, effervescent, crisp, refreshing. Goes down easy and drinks quickly on this hot, late-summer afternoon on the back porch. Very refreshing, and overall a fairly well-made saison but not my favorite example of the style, nor my favorite effort from Half Acre although it is still worth trying.
