Do you remember the titans? Pours a clear amber color with good head retention but does fade over time. There was good lacing as well.
The smell is hoppy as it should be. There are definite notes caramel and some lighter bready qualities. The hops themselves are stronger in pine qualities then say citrus but both are well represented.
The taste is good. First notice is a well balanced hop flavor from the flavoring and bittering notes. The malt is sweet and well balanced and supports the stronger hop flavors. There is a tart flavor that reminds of granny apples. There is a slight oily flavor at the end but it is light.
The body is a medium feel and the phenol is noticeable but not exactly hop. Overall a good IPA.

Old Review
Got this in a GD Brewer's mix pack from Cheers in Carrolton, GA. 12 oz bottle poured into a pint.
A: Poured a nice rich golden that wanted to be orange. Good deal of head that was sticky and stuck around for the majority of the beverage. Was a bit hazy with some particles in there.
S: Not too impressed with the smell. I am getting floral and citrus hops, but not much more. Smells really acidic.
T: Taste is a bit better than it smells. There are the floral and citrus (grapefruit, lemon, tangerine) hop flavors. There is also some earthy, grassy flavors going on, with a cool malt that balances the bitterness really well.
M: Good carbonation that makes this a good refreshment, but this is in no way thin. Got a good consistency and a creaminess to it.
D: This is quite good. You can drink this and much of it if you are not careful. Very tasty even if it is lacking in aroma, but not too heavy on the alcohol. A very fine brew.

Bright and clear, dimly orange golden color, solid cap of frothy white foam sits well, resides slowly down to a thin skim and bubbles with immensely sticking sheets of lacing.
Resinous hop nose of highly sweet citrus and pine needles. Solid IPA nose. Wouldn't mind a bit of a toasty malt backing though. Once it warms up there's a bit of caramel malt coming through. Taste has nice meld of malty fruityness and slight citric twinges in the front. Middle is subdued in a calmness of caramel but building a base of pine and bitterness to come. Oh...and it turns into a pine needle forest in the finish with lots of pulpy thick, leafy hop bitterness while maintaining a favorable smoothness. Many notes lingering of orange and grapefruit peels mixing with the pine. Nice hoppy IPA taste.
Feel is about medium, quite smooth the whole way down until that finish kicks in. Which in fact mellows out and the bitterness falls a bit short, but is still nice at that point with a nice fluffy woodish give. A nice IPA to have alot of.
