A - Pours a nice dark brown colored body that shows a vivid garnet when brought to the light. Small, light tan head disappears quickly, leaving some whisps on the surface and a ring around the glass.
S - Rich caramel and toffee are omnipresent. Milk chocolatey. Light hops with both some fruity and grassy notes.
T - Begins with shortly lived caramel and toffee. Rushes into a monstrous chocolate flavor with cocoa and baker's chocolate taking center stage. Slight hoppiness tries to shone through along with some fruity sweetness. Finishes with a slightly bitter wash.
M - Medium bodied with slightly acidic carbonation (a bit too sharp).
D - The big chocolate flavor really snuck up on me here. Pleasant taste with a beer that could probably improve with some age. Wish I had another to find out.
