11.2 oz bottle. Thanks to hwwty4 for the opportunity to try this beer and knock out the German ales. I now feel complete as a 50% German. Lets do this. Served up in a beautiful Weihenstephan Weizen glass.

A: This beer pours a pretty vibrant, dark yellow color that has a bit of brown hues at the top and the bottom of the pour. The pour doesn't yield a whole bunch of head, but it does retain a white ring for most of the drinking experience. This beer does have a ton of haze and swirling debris going on in here. The haze also has some chunkiness to it. Lots of carbonation activity is constantly pushing that haze around creating some really nice swirl. The color and haze are pretty impressive.

S: Smell is a whole bunch of wheat goodness. The wheat is sweet with just a nice touch of banana coming out. That sweetness is cut with some savory with a nice, fizzing salt smell coming out. This is an interesting and very pleasant aroma coming out of this brew.

T: Taste is interesting and I am torn. The wheat is pretty sweet and earthy. Then comes that expected banana flavor from the wheat beer. All of that is expected but then that salty flavor comes in. I can't tell if this is a good thing or a bad thing. It is just strange to combine salt with banana. Its an almost medicinal salt water treatment type of flavor. There is also a touch of green apple in there hiddin in the saltiness. Still, it is enjoyable. I was torn between a 3.5 and a 4 for this beer.

M: Feel is light and the carbonation is high. This beer has a great crispness to it that makes this beer greatly refreshing. ABV is low so its not even noticable. Aftertaste is mostly just a slight saltiness that really lingers in the mouth.

D: This beer and style really has a nice and easy drinking thing going for it. The flavor is a bit strange and it takes some getting used to, but I dig it. Just has that nice touch of sweet and savory goin for it, and then it has that medicinal flavor. I am pretty sure if you drink this when you have a sore throat . . . CURED! Great beer and I dig the style. Look forward to tracking down more of these.
