Lawds yes. What a beautiful Saison, indeed. Brassy sunshine, the only cloud being just the most huge amount of frothy cap. A peek into the hazy sunshine depths will make one smile, to know that carbonation streamers abound everywhere. Broken lacing and clumps remain where mountains of froth once stood. Picture perfect.
Lemons and musk melon in the front of the nose, sweet spices and a pinch of white pepper follow through. A light hop presence - citrusy - wafts through, followed by freshly turned earth and river rock. All in balance.
Sweet and light spice upfront - white pepper and coriander. Lemons, almost ripe green apple, honeydew melon and citrus pith do a gentle dance with a floral/hay presence, then mingle with dust and cellar musk. Funk is more predominate in the aroma than taste, but not by much.
Moderate in body, smooth yet crisp mouthfeel. Carbonation is spot-on. Dry, lingering finish.
I have had this a couple of times now and it always satisfies. Just a no-nonsense, gorgeous Saison with great balance between all the senses. One of the better American Saisons going.
To all that have sent me this, cheers!

750 ml bottle sent to me by the always awesome OHLRangers. Thanks again, Ed. Served up in a tulip.
A: Hits the glass a golden yellow with a light orange tint to it. The body is clear with busy carbonation in there. Held to the light, the color stays consistent with just a brighter yellow presence. The pour got me a pillowy, white head that sat at over 3 fingers. Really good retention and lacing all over the place.
S: Strong aroma and very nice. Yeast really makes its presence known. Grassy and floral presence really opens up. Little bit of citrus, pepper and of course funk. really like this nose.
T: Light funk, really earthy. A little bit of citrus zest and apple. Grassy and hay and earth. Rounds out with some pepper.
M: Medium in body with a bright carbonation. Drys up pretty well. ABV has a little bit of a presence. This beer does have a sharp bite on the throat, and that would probably be its only downfall for me. Just a little aggressive. Aftertaste is all earthy goodness.
OA: Fantastic beer with a beautiful nose and flavor. So far everything I have had from Funkwerks has been really impressive and I cannot wait for more chances to try more of their beers.
