This beer is well carbonated as I easily end up with almost four-fingers of pale tan colored froth in my 25cl tulip glass. The beer is a red color with copper highlights and shows a brilliantly clear, red stained, bright copper color when held up to the light. The aroma is quite hoppy, with more citrus than anything and is backed / accentuated by a caramelized malt character. Aromas of tangerines, lychee, bergamot and bright citrus oil define the fruity hop aromatics, while a significant, toasty, biscuit-laden note defines much of the malt character in this beer. While this is certainly hop focused, I like how prominent the malt character still is.

A bit fizzy as it first hits my tongue, notes of lemon zest and cracker like malt are quite noticeable though. After releasing some of the excess carbonation that toasty malt character becomes a bit more prominent as does a biting, clean, hop bitterness that lingers on the tongue in the finish along with a peppery carbonic bite. This beer is a bit too dry in the flavor to capture the expressive hop fruitiness that was notable in the aroma, but it still does manage to evoke flavors of orange zest, a touch of lychee and even a touch of kumquat. The finish has a bit of caramelized malt body to it, as well as a nice malt character that adds a bit of complexity. This is quite easy drinking, even for a 6% abv beer.

This is a nice beer, a touch more malt sweetness in the flavor would have accentuated the fruity p character better, but it would have lost the great drinkability. I am glad I got a good bottle of this!

A - Body is a clean dark copper color with sparse bubbles lazily rising to the top. Pour produces a small tan head made up of varying sized bubbles. Decent retention.

S - Malts bring both bready and caramel aromas. Light citrusy hops. More of a green grassy aroma here.

T - Starts off with bready malts. Slight caramel sweetness helps to provide a solid malt backbone here. Citrusy bitterness comes in a takes hold for a minute. Very earthy hops with a distinct bitterness. Sappy feeling left in your mouth.

M - Medium bodied, but somewhat sticky. Carbonation is light and smooth.

Overall - Pretty good pale ale here, especially for an organic which I have usually found to miss the mark.
