12 oz bottle thanks to Redwood21. Poured into a shaped DFH nonic
glass.
A: A nice dark honey appearance with a thin white head that is sticking around for quite some time. Making nice, sticky lacing.
S: Oak, Maple Syrup, alcohol, dark fruits, and a touch of vanilla. All of that is there but nothing is really overly heavy.
T: The oak and maple syrup hit you first. Then a bit of herbs and fruits tickle the tongue. Vanilla finishes it off with a faint taste of alcohol. You can find some hops if you are looking.
M; Has a good deal of carbonation making this incredibly smooth and easy to drink. Coats the mouth a bit, leaving hint of oak and sweetness in the after taste. Alcohol heat rests on the back of the throat.
D: Very. I could drink this as a session beer. Very nice all around. I actually love this beer.

This is a 2005 bottle thanks to SoLan from RB.
It pours muddy brown/red from the bottle with a slight head and some nice lacing.
Aromas of rich maple syrup, peaty malts, raisins, deep caramel malts, a little bit of burnt crispy malt, and alcohol.
Flavor of burnt, peaty malt, thick maple syrup, grape, rum raisin, alcohol, and wood.
A thick syrupy body with medium to low carbonation. Very decadent.
Much more enjoyable than when fresh. Not as over peated and much less sweet.
