Hmm...clearish orangey apricot color, how fitting, just under a finger high head of dirty cream colored foam, some thinnly etched strings of lace stick. Smell has a nice herbal/grassy hop with a solid toasted malt backing, some detectable notes of fresh apricots and slight pine lay underneath, very fresh smelling with a raw grassy hop edge. Taste has a toasty frontage blending quickly with herbal grassy fresh hops that has a mild bite ending with a mix of pine wood, citrus fruits and just a peppering of the apricot can be detected nearer the finish where it tappers off with a toasty malt flake and bake twinge and a grab of hop bittering thats favorabley mild. Feel is about medium, nice and crisp with a light drying quality with just the right amount of bite and balance making for a good drinking IPA fruity treat. Its not as Aprihopped as I hoped it would be but its quite good non-the-less. Borderline sessionable with the 6.6% - drinkable all the same. I could easily put a few of these away and be a happy camper.

Not a great beer – maybe just an OK beer. Very disappointing from Dogfish – I’m not as sold on their IPA’s as the gaga public seems to be but they are much better than this beer. One would assume it is highly hopped, but it tastes “normal.†It’s not Budweiser, but it’s not the craft brew one would expect. It has a great hop smell, but then the disappointment begins. The hops don’t follow through and you get a cloyingly sweet, syrupy taste that has a slight hop overtone. Having said that, the beer I got was very fresh – maybe a little over a week old – and it was fizzy, had a beautiful head, and did, at least, have some flavor. Nevertheless, wouldn’t buy it again.

12 oz bottle acquired at Arbor Place Beverages in Douglassville, GA. Poured into a pint.
A: Poured a coppery orange with a nice frothy head. Created some sticky lacing. Good beer that looks like an IPA as well it should.
S: Smell is of citrus and floral hops, malt and ripe apricots. Smells great.
T: This beer has a bit of sweet and sour going on here. Has the bitterness of some citrus hops combined with the sweetness of the apricot. The normal heavy bitterness of an IPA is very well balanced with the sweetness of the apricots and malt.
M: A light to medium bodied experience that leaves some coating of the mouth. This beer finishes pretty clean and is very refreshing.
D: For an IPA this is very accessible. My girlfriend can't stomach IPAs but she drank a whole bottle of this. The bitterness is very well balanced with the perfect fruit to do the job in my opinion. Interesting brew.

Aprihop poured crystal clear dirty copper into my pint glass. A 2 finger head formed on the pour that fell to a dense 1finger of creaminess. Very few carbonation bubbles but what is there are large and slow rising. Head leaves spotty lacing.
I love the smell of this beer. Right up front there's a big juicy earthy apricot aroma. Biscuity malts are in the back and actually a little hard for me to pick out. Grassy hops on the backend. Makes my mouth water.
Flavor seems somewhat simple but is so unique from the use of apricots. Biscuity malts are somewhere in the background but the apricot steals the show and lasts throughout the finish. Mildly tart. The grassy herbal hops come through late on the swallow with a pleasant bitterness.
Medium bodied with lower than normal carbonation. The lower carbonation works nicely with this beer letting the apricots cover all surfaces of the tongue and cheeks.
Highly drinkable brew from Dogfish Head. The 7%abv is a little high to be truly sessionable but I don't mind giving it a shot.
Another very good and unique beer from Dogfish Head. Some of their experimental beers are hit or miss but Aprihop is definately a winner.

A fun seasonal beer. The pour has a amber color that was mostly cloudy. A slight orange hue through out. A rocky bubbly head with limited retention and lacing throughout.
There was a very slight apricot aroma but nothing to distinct. More of a slight generic fruity aroma. Has more of a extract fruit note (vs stone fruit). Some yeast character but mostly clean. The hops are really limited. Some hints of citrus but light. Needs more hops though.
The flavor is a different story. The apricot notes were subtle (as apricots are), but present and not overwhelming balanced with a nice malt characteristic. The hops are limited a bit as well. More character than what the nose gave, but still limited. Some fruity and zest hops on back end. But no bittering notes. The yeast is clean with a hint of esters and a distinct mineral/chalky note.
The body is moderate but the sweetness lingers and gives it a bit more perception. Overall limited apricot and hops but very drinkable.

12 ounce bottle thanks to chadbrew
Pours clear, mahogany-copper color. great head to it. Up front aroma of apricot upon pouring. After a minute or two, the aroma is lost. At first sip, there is a hint of apricot but like the smell, fades away. Cream texture and good mouthfeel. Good clean hop finish but for being billed as an apricot beer, a bit disappointing. Good beer none-the-less. Just not what I expected.

Poured from bottle into pint glass.
A - Pours a nice lighter amber color that is very translucent. Big soapy white head.
S - Fruity, caramel malts, apricot, grapefruit and slightly piney hops.
T - Very earthy with floral citrusy hops. Sweet taste of apricots mingles with the hops.
M - Medium bodied. Much more than you would expect from a "fruit beer".
D - Excellent, truly easy to drink beer. Would make a fine session brew.
