500 ml bottle thanks to the always generous Ender. Served up in a mason jar.
A: Pours up a dark and murky orangish brown. Held to the light, the orange hues push through more and brighten up the body. The body remains hazy with a pretty steady carbonation activity in here. The pour got mea good two fingers of white to off white colored head. The foam has some really good stick to it, leaving thick sheets all over the glass.
S: The nose is simple but plentiful. Lots of grains hit the nose first. This is followed by some citrus hops notes and there is also some other fruity notes that really fill the glass. Touch of sweetness off the malts. Just smells great.
T: Starts off with some light and slightly sweeter and toasty malts. Touch of caramel and toffee, but the fruity notes really dominate those sweet malts. Citrusy and there is a really nice apple note. Toffee starts to push through more with a nice sweet creaminess as the beer warms up. Touch of pine but its not crazy assertive, just a light flavor accent. Everything meshes beautifully.
M: Light side of medium in body with a nice and bright carbonation. Even so, this feel remains very creamy and silky. ABV is nonexistent, making this beer incredibly easy drinking. Aftertaste is all apple and lightly sweet malts.
OA: Fantastic. Everything seems so simple individually, but as a whole the beer comes together damn near perfectly. Easy drinking, quenching, and tasty as hell. I could drink these all day. It certainly doesn't hurt that it has one of the coolest labels I have seen in a long time. Overall, a great beer.
