Random extra that I received from someone I can't remember. Been in the cellar a while so I said why the hell not, time to pop it.

Served at cellar temp and poured into my Stella Artois glass.

Appearance is very good. Deep, dark red colored beer; almost purple. Tons of tiny fragmented sediment floating around in here. Head's soapy in the glass while being creamy and pillowy on top. Thick crater of tan foam sits on top like a pancake. Inviting.

Smell is good. First thing i get is cranberry cocktail (not juice.) Sweet and sour with a tartness. Subtle mustiness.

Taste is above-average. Cranberry cocktail again with a small level of tartness in the finish. Dark cherries. Very small level of acidity. Finishes quickly and too clean with hints of metal, iron and red grape.

Mouthfeel is average. Thin-to-medium body. Carbonation is below-average. Watery.

Overall:
Lacked complexity and body. Had high hopes for this one but came away disappointed. Maybe it sat too long in the cellar?
