Enjoyed with class in my Schlitz pimp goblet, received in a Secret Santa BiF "over there". Not my first taste of Bolita, but I do believe it is the first bottle I've had.
Bolita is murky as I pour it, with a two finger light tan head and good retention. The nose isn't too strong at first, hints of cocoa and nut, maybe a faint cereal aroma as well. As it warms the nose blossoms into dark raisin, molasses, cocoa, nut.
At first the cocoa hits the nose and palate, then sips away to let through a roasted nut medley with vanilla and a bitter but malt finish.
I could sip this, but I don't because I like it and may have issues with self control. The body is on the heavier side of medium, it has substance without feeling like a meal. It does have a nice creamy mouthfeel, as anything Double Nut should. The carbonation is good as well. Overall a great brew from Cigar City. Also, a great nut brown, a style I feel has been lacking in quality examples my entire drinking career.
