Never even heard of this beer but Joey (KingG) handed me one and informed me that it’s not available in California. I’m intrigued and excited to be trying a brew from South America. Batch # 09 on the bottle.
The beer was fizzy as soon as I popped it but it poured with the most minimal amount of head and no lacing at all. Dourada is a slightly dark golden color.
The aroma is of malt, some apple and something else I can’t quite pinpoint. The taste is mostly malty with some fruit, very similar to the aroma. It reminds me a bit to a Kristall-Weisse and I thought I detected some wheat, and looking it up on the site I was right. It is medium to light bodied but refreshing. I quite enjoyed this one but judging from this bottle being labeled "Brazilian Golden Ale" I am a bit confused about this beer categorized as a Kolsch.

Batch 20
A: Had the perfect carbonation level coming out of the bottle. Poured a pristine copper with strawberry highlights and lot s of stray bubbles. Head is solid, present and accounted for…simply ½ of amber tinted bubbles.
S: Fruity essence of white grape juice, cantaloupe, artichoke and aluminum.
T: Begins quite refreshing. First thought is how dry the beer comes off as, yet cool fruits dance across the tongue. Very sweet and subtle flavors at work here with really nice balance. The beginning dryness is mineralstic in nature but doesn’t last too long. The sweet and gentle malts move in with honey suckle, pear and grapes around the back sides of the tongue. A crisp hoppiness is ever present, adding a pinch of bitterness. Finishes with dried hay, yellow corn and more mineral flavors.
M: Thin body and hard.
D: I actually enjoyed this. I thought it had good balance with nice flavors.
