I have to say that the guys at CBC really do a good job on all of their beers. Pours a crystal golden hay color with amber hues that glint in the light. Good fluffy head with a mix of big and small bubbles. Good lacing throughout the tasting but did decrease over time.

The smell is grainy with a mostly basic malt aromas. There a sweetness that is a little sharp. Some lighter hop undertones with citrus and herbal aromas as well.

The taste is sweet with a good basic malt for a base. Touches of graininess and hints of caramel are within the characteristics. A honey-like finish as the malt goes. The hops are grassy with sharp citrus tastes as well. The hops are a bit stronger then the malt but mostly a grass top and a smoother, lighter citrus finish.

The body has a mid feel to it which heightens the malt taste. Good carbonation as well. There is a peppery aftertaste as well. Overall, I'm surprised that this beer doesn't rate better. I think it is a good beer, especially in the hot North Carolina summers.
