Big thanks go out to bakes who hooked me up with this beer I hadn't even heard of until it was on my counter.
A - Pours a really dark brown colored body that only allows light through the edges. One and a half finger head that is light brown and sort of sparkly from the sides in that soapy way. Varying sized bubbles. Good retention.
S - Big juicy fruits jump right up to my nose here. Vibrant and fresh smelling. Cherries and mixed berries galor. Some vanilla and a touch of oak lie underneath in a supporting role.
T - Fresh juicy fruits, with wild berries and some black cherry. Works into deep vanilla tones that almost seem to come from no where. It is all sweet fruits to start and the vanilla is a very distinct change in flavor. Almost like it takes a turn from on to the other. Then it takes another turn towards the finish with some warming bourbon on the tongue. Lingers a bit and finishes clean.
M - Medium full bodied with silky smooth carbonation.
D - What a treat this beer is. I may have to acquire some more.
