A- This beer pours a dense but clear glowing brown body with a thin beige ring of foam.

S- The faint deep toasted malt hint is a bit lagered and the aroma is very clean.

T- The clean lagered nougat flavor takes on some dry toffee as the beer opens up and a clean dry finish ends this beer.

M- This beer has a light mouthfeel with a scrubbing fizz finish.

O- This beer is clean and well lagered with hints of flavor from some dark malt that takes on a bit of a woody oxidized flavor as it opens.

Nice deeply orangy/red color with an overall brownish tone, thin tannish head that fades leaving a thin haze and very fine stringy lace in small areas of coverage. Smell is soft and light of dark fruits, plum, banana, some nuttyness and creamy maltyness with a touch of light spice. Very subtle in approach on the nose, a bit to light though. Taste is more subtleties of dark fruits, banana, plum, raisin, a touch of sweetness and maltyness, but far to thin and shortly visited, weakened hops near the finish slightly. Feel is thin and lighter medium body, again, it doesn't have any staying power what so ever, just a short memory of what could be. It still makes for good easy drinking.

To bad you don't see more Munich Dunkles out there. Pours a darker brown color with a darker amber hue through out. Great clarity and a soft white head with good retention and lacing throughout.

The nose is soft overall but a nice malt backing. The Munich malt is not as distinct as I would like for style but its there. Some bready notes with a light toasty aroma. A minor roast character on the back end but blends well. The yeast comes out a bit for style. Some esters, plums and figs. A light pineapple note as well but limited. Some chalky notes that are boarder line metallic but ok.

The taste is similar. The malt comes out a bit more. The Munich notes come out a bit more versus the noses but still limited. The bready notes are there but more blended with a toast and light chocolate/coco thing. Some minor astringency, very light, but would like less. Great lingering sweetness but not over the top. A light earthy hop note but blends well with the yeast. The yeast is a bit much again. Plum notes mix with a light citrus/apricot that is just a touch much.

The body is moderate to light. Would like a bit more depth there but overall a very nice beer. Would like a bit more Munich notes and a cleaner yeast but very easy to drink.
