Described on their site as a Belgian style Brown brewed with Sour Cherries.
Big thanks go out to BA sponberg for this growler.
A - Pours a deep brown color with huge garnet highlights that show when you hold it to the light. Head starts oatmeal colored, small and fizzy and is now just a whisp on the surface and a ring around the glass.
S - Brown sugar, light chocolate, molasses, cherries. Not getting a whole lot of sour here. Still smells darn good.
T - Yum. Starts off with some nice sweet flavor of brown sugar and a bit of toffee. Slowly, the cherry flavors start to emerge. Just as you think the cherries are peaking, dark chocolate comes in and intermingles with the cherries, which then turn slightly sour on you.
M - Medium bodied with light carbonation.
D - Great, drinkable twist on a classic Belgian style. I love a good dubbel, and this in no exception.
