Dark crimson color, light at the bottom, smallish, very pink head. Pinky, pinky, pink.

Sweet and tart cherries, all up and down and over and out. With a brown ale base lurking beneath. Yup, I can smell it.

Taste: fresh and fruity, bright and tart. Rich and rounded. Lip-smackingly delicious. Big-time pucker, brisk and refreshing.
Rich malt flavor right below, cherries on top. Nice.
Long finish, full presence on the tongue, hangs heavy in the mouth.

good stuff. nice for dessert, or a relaxing nightcap.

A - Pours a dark garnet colored body. Head is soapy and large with a distinct pink hue to it. Head recedes like that of a soda, but slightly slower.

S - Big tart and sour cherries. Grenadine. Oh my, is there anything other than cherries here? I don't know that it is really a bad thing though. Very sweet.

T - Starts with sort of a dark black cherry flavor. Touches of caramel malt and anise seem to be present. Slight belgian yeastiness. Light flavor of cherry cough syrup (I think it's the slight alcohol flavor playing off the cherries). Maraschino (sp) cherries come in with big sweetness. Slight spiciness at the finish.

M - Medium to full bodied. Very smooth.

D - This beer probably isn't for everyone, but it could really get me in trouble. Super drinkable for 8%. Love the big cherry flavor. Used to it being big sour cherries, but this is more sweet than sour.
