A - Started foaming out of the bottle as soon as I popped the cap. Surprisingly the head is completely controllable on the pour. A thick one finger head of tan foam is produced from a normal pour. Great retention. Sticking all over the sides of the chalice. Body is a hazed amber orange color. Pretty much a perfect looking beer.

S - Well, given I can't read most of the bottle, I had no idea this was smoked, but the smell tells me it most definitely uses some smoked malts. Coriander and a bit of pepper. Whiskey comes on strong. Big alcohol vapors burn the nostrils a bit on a deep inhale.

T - Starts off sweet with lots of nice malt flavors. Plums and raisins along with toffee and a touch of molasses. Spices come in with coriander and some pepper. Some other spice I can't place. Smokiness comes on with a smoked meat flavor. Distinct woodiness and a slight scotch flavor towards the end.

M - Full bodied. Slightly fizzy carbonation, but nothing that keeps you from enjoying the beer.

Overall - Definitely different than any belgian I have had. Distinctly flavored. Goes down way easier than the 11%
