(Served in a globe glass)

A- This beer pours a crystal clear lemon yellow that turns just a bit hazy with the last pour. There is a frothy white foam that pops away to a thick ring of foam and some strands of slow bubbles.

S- The full aroma of bread dough yeast has some slight bright bread dough note to it in the finish.

T- The bright tartness is followed by a bread dough yeast flavor that has some bitterness and earthy hops with a citrus zest note that lingers. The bread yeast is back in the aftertaste after the dry finish.

M- The light mouthfeel has a crisp fizz and no alcohol heat.

O- I love saisons but I just can't get past the Vivant yeast. It taste to much like raw bread dough yeast and it is the dominating flavor. This one is just not for my taste.

Pours out all golden sun and such, slightly hazy with a huge, loosely bubbled cap that recedes both quickly and almost entirely, with a trace of lacing. Attractive carbonation lends a much more attentive cap on the second pour.

Aroma is pleasantly appealing - lemon, pear, hay and a stone fruit pit mineral-ness rounded out by a definitive grainy aroma coupled with a faint grassy hop backbone.

True to the nose, this one carries through. Pear and apple, squeeze of lemon find their way along with a nice lemongrass hop accompaniment. A faint musty/dusty funk presence reminds the tongue that yes, this is a Saison, and here is a light twang of wheaty tartness to boot.

Light in body, smooth, airy mouthfeel. Carbonation is on the softer side, with a nice dry finish.

Interesting Saison. Very light, fruity and refreshing - excellent lawnmower beer (in a can!). Nothing really stands out about it.... but I enjoyed it, and if I was to see it in a cooler some wheres on a hot, humid day, would not waste a second thought about grabbing some.
