Colomba by Brasserie Pietra
5.00 % ABV

The white beer that takes to the ‘maquis’ (Corscian scrub)

A very Corsican name for a white beer with original, captivating flavors.

Colomba is brewed from barley and wheat. It has a 5% alcohol content.
Unfiltered and bottom-fermented, COLOMBA has a cloudy look due to the presence of yeast but it gets its unique taste and aroma from the heart of Corsica’s scrub land.

Its secret: arbutus, myrtle, juniper… and other aromatic species, a subtle and delicate mixture prepared in a huge tea ball and infused in the hop vat while the wort is cooking.

This decoction releases flavors never before tasted and gives Colomba a very specific personality, a real bouquet of pleasure to taste and smell.

Its exclusive recipe has been acclaimed by experts.

COLOMBA: a white beer, disturbing and natural

(Served in a stemmed strange)
A- The hazy lemon yellow body has a billowing white foam that is supported by a quick carbonation.

S- The sweet meadow of herbs blends with wheat dough.

T- The mellow blend floral herbs and wheat dough has a slight sweet finish and some cider notes come through as the beer opens. There is a hint of tartness that lingers with some more mellow herbal notes in the aftertaste.

M- This beer has a light mouthfeel with a frizzy little prick.

O- This is a really nice witbier with a good support from herbal flavors. It is an interesting twist on the witbier but a bit to pricy to be sessionable.

Served In: Stange
