Longshot Dortmunder pours a crystal clear golden. Many big carbonation bubbles quickly rise to the 1 finger creamy, ruddy white head. The head slowly fades to a half finger cap. Minimal lacing. Looks good.
The smell is clean graininess. The grains are followed by a pleasant perfume and floral hop aroma. There's also a hint of muscat grapes that goes nicely with the scent of the floral hops. As it warms I pick up a dusty aroma.
Taste is just the same as the aroma. Raw grain flavor with interruptions from the floral hops. Finishes with a hefty raw grain load and a spicy hop finish. Mild metallic twang every few sips.
Mouthfeel is good. The body is medium and smooth. Crisp, refreshing and finishes dry.
This is an enjoyable beer that would be easy to drink a few in a sitting. Refreshing.
Overall this is a tasty beer. Every few sips I pick up that funny metallic twang that I get from all Sam Adam's beers but besides that it's a good beer.

A - Pours a clean golden body. Big, bright white head that is fluffy as heck. Great retention and good lacing.
S - Bready pale malt backdrop with a big sharp hop presence. Little bit of citrus in the hops.
T - Tastes very much like is smells. Big bready malts provide the backbone to this beer. Fruity hops with a slightly citrusy wash towards the end. Above average.
M - Medium bodied. Smooth carbonation and overall feel.
D - Good drinkable lager that would be easy to pound back.
