Clear coppery golden color with a small compact whitish foam keeping to the top with solid staying power. Lacing is pretty sticky and placed in large amounts of lightly broken sheeting.
Nose to this is herbally toasted and English-like in dryness. Somewhat light to medium in strength but clean with a feathered pale fruity sense and toffee.
Taste is clean and herbal with a nicely set toasted dryness and smooth breadyish malty backing. Lightly dulled with a mellony citrus play underneath with some smurfings of toffee stickyness. Finish is welcome with a light dancing spice of herbal hops. Semi grassy and wood stained.
Feel is about medium with a dryish nature and paled malt fluffyness. Finish has a slight nudge in some off metallic notes in with the hoppy spices. Dryness gets a bit tiresome, could use a little more roundedness. Kinda English IPA/Amber-like.
I liked at first but for some reason the dryness and overall paled sense kept me from enjoying it fully. Not really all that bad of a beer really it just wasn't doing it for me.

12oz Bottle
Pours a perfectly clear golden with orange hues. Mild carbonation bubbles. A 1 finger white head sits a top the body but fades quickly to a thin topcoat. Leaves drink lines with each sip that fall back into the body. Looks good.
I like the smell of Boston Ale. It's soft and subtle. A mild doughiness along with a floral quality. Some lightly toasted grains as well.
The taste isn't quite as good as the appearence and smell. Starts off harsh and biting. As it warms it transitions into more of the dough and floral qualities that are in the smell but the initial taste is just a turn off.
Mothfeel is brisk and a little abrasive. Prickliness that is somewhat bothersome.
Drinkability is average but nothing more. If you gulp this one down enjoying the smell occasionally it's not so bad. Otherwise the mouthfeel and taste are off to drink more than one at a time.
This is a disappointment. It started out nice with the looks and smell but went downhill from there. I'll no doubt be passing on this one in the future.
