12 oz bottle that ended up in the box of my most recent trade with IBUnit63. Don't get too many chances to try out a Kolsh, so glad to have it. Served up in my DFH shaped pint because it is one of my most narrow glasses and I don't have a stange.

A: Pours a pretty nice and golden straw yellow. The body is absolutely clear and held to the light you get an even lighter straw yellow coming out. The pour got me about two fingers of white head. The head does falter to a solid top cap that has some height to it (not just a flat top cap). Little bit of spotty lacing comes up on the glass but not a whole lot. The greatest part of the look is the crazy amount of carbonation that comes up in numerous streams with a quickness. Very nice effect as the light hits it and those bubbles stream up a glowing yellow body. Good stuff.

S: There is a really nice grain and earth presence in this brew. Getting some grass and hay/straw, along with a touch of some herbal goodness. Then you get the hops. The hops smell pretty damned fresh actually and have a nice pine like appearance. Slightly bitter. With that said, it seems a bit on the weak side. Still nice and above average for sure.

T: Nice malty presence that has a nice multigrain, bready quality with just a touch of sweetness. The hops are a bit more forward in the flavor, with a slightly aggressive pine presence. Nice and resinous with a slight bitterness. Grains are in the flavor as well, with some nice hay and grass qualities. Very earthy. On the finish you get just a touch of a vinous quality. A very slight and sweet grape presence. Dig it.

M: On the medium side of light in body. Nice and light, easy going down. Carbonation is huge and oh so crisp and refreshing. This beer has a nice drying effect that almost doubles as a touch of heat. Really keeps you drinking sip after sip, wanting more. ABV is not an issue at all. Aftertaste is a touch of hops and vinous quality. Very good for sure.

D: This beer is a great thirst quenching brew. So smooth and easy drinking with a nice dryness that keeps you coming back. This is an amazingly sessionable brew. The flavors are good along with everything else going on in here. Sure the aroma could come out a bit more. This a perfect beer on a hot ass day after mowing the lawn. Lovin it.
