Gorgeous, firey deep, tawny reddish copper color, very solid clouded body, alas, only a waffer thin tan skim of a head was produced and some spots of lace stick. Aroma is lighter then expected from the usual Bell's array with some softer tones of dark fruits with some raisin, fig, and plum, a very slight dry breadiness and toasted molasses touch sit underneath. Taste is loose and chewy with some orangey oils and fat but dulled plum, raisin, and fig with some softer/lighter toffeeness with a slight touch of chocolate dryness like a cookie or bread and just a tiny nudge of nutmeg spice and vaniila. I'll admit the feel seems a bit thin in body, but somehow it still maintains one very silky, buttery smooth character from end to end, that I like. Plus it helps make it quite drinkable. This dopplebock reminds of a calmer Belgian dark without alot of the sharp yeast tones and carbonation that some Belgians might carry, and that sits fine with me. This was gone in no time.

Try to hard to concentrate? Pours a clear mahogany brown color with a slight reddish hue. A soft white head with some retention but does not make it through the full tasting. Limited lacing as well.

The nose is malt-sentric with a nice kettle caramel notes. A bit sweet for style but ok. Some candy and melanoidin aromas. Noticeable yeasty notes with stronger esters. Some plums and figs. Some lighter rose and bubblegum notes as well. A touch of diactyl as well. A hit of fusels but noticeable alcohol notes.

The taste brings out more esters/phenolics but still has a strong malt base. The kettle notes back off but still a good caramel base. A bit too sweet with some sugary notes that linger into the finish. Some minerally notes as well. Almost like a fluoride thing going on. The plums comes out as well as a light pineapple and pickle note. Noticeable alcohol as well.

The body is too sweet. Although does not have that under-attenuation feel. Carbonation is light but ok. Overall there is something funky going on here in the taste. Almost like a weird yeast, but eh.

Pours a clear medium brown with a small foamy head that quickly settles to leave just a bit of bubbles around the edge of the glass. Rich caramel and toffee in the nose. Some nice malt sweetness like a dopplebock should have. Just a touch of roasted malt in the distance. Super smooth sweet malt body. Lots of light toffee and medium caramel cross the tongue. Alcohol note is nowhere in sight both in the nose and in the taste. Hint of light chocolate and touch of roasted malt. Some nice residual sweetness on the aftertaste.
