Pale hazen lemon golden yellow color with a big bold cap of white creamy froth. Keeps a substantial glazing of finely whipped foam and the lacing sticks in a frosted, lightly broken sheeting.

Aroma is calm and clean with a nice creamy sense of lemon cookie dough and sugar coated must. Fair amount of stark and stiff grassyness with a lightly delicate touch of aromatic spicing that gives off a cinnamon lavendar candle wax.

Taste is quite complexing and sublte with a very tender give and low ended candy sweet tone to its nature. Its nurturing suppleness is alluring with a fair and medium build of rich lemony waffer cookies dusted with cinnamon. Kinda like snickerdoodle cookies with a lemon twist in there. Captivatingly full of light little spices of cinnamon and sugar. Perhaps a bit of lavendar seems to take a back seat as it begins to turn the corner into the finish, its hard to distinguish it exactly, but it has an inticing floral tone of lemon and apple blossoms, lavendar, vanilla, chamomile, white pepper, and cottonwood. The finish is great with lots of subtle twisted spices and a firm Belgian candyish malt body that makes a home on the palate.

Feel is boldly fluffy and malty set with a candyfied fullish bready body and sweetly firm feel throughout. Creamy and semi thick with a great texture for drinkin' it down in bigger portions then sips. A very nice rendition of the style. An Avery surprise was had with this one. A Nice beer!

I really am starting to appreciate Avery. 22oz bottle poured a semi-cloudy lemony yellow color. A good head that remained through the whole tasting and good lacing.

The smell is unique. A floral aroma that I can only best describe as lavender lotion. I would say more but lavender lotion???

The taste is very floral and very herbal. The lavender theme comes back . Lavender? Starting with the malt there has some pilsner malt taste with a little bit of bite from the hop flavor. The next flavor the overwhelms is a lemon meets hibiscus meets chamomile taste. This is the dominate taste (lavender?) and touches of yeast and orange finish the beer off.

The body is very dry. Nice flavor for a saison and heightens the spice/floral notes. Very easy to drink for a 7.6% ABV. This is a unique taste (again lavender?). Avery is worth the notice.

Avery cleaned out the spice cabinet for this one. Wow! Pours a hazy yellow with great white head. The most distinctive smell I have experienced in a beer. Hard to describe, kind of like walking past a Cinnibon and getting the whiff of Cinnamin with cloves, oranges and coriander. Very crisp, smooth mouthfeel. I split a bottle with some friends and we all thought it was fantastic. Looking back I don't know how well a full serving, let alone a full bottle, would go down. A little too harsh to drink in larger quantities. Great beer none-the-less.
