Pours a dark amber hinted brown to settle quite black in the glass with just the slightest of egdes to mahogany. Very thick and full of creamyness, the topping is a delightful solid leveled fluff of dark khaki coloring and has superb staying power. Strong amounts of lacing in thick blobby webbings and broken spots and strings etch to the glass.

Aroma is of dried milk chocolate and cream, graham cracker crust, bits of roast, nuts, and char top it off nicely.

Taste is mildly set in a firm and tender display of mildly creamed milk chocolate and lightly sweetened roast. Notes to super soft caramel and vanilla, touches of spent coffee, and dusty cocoa fils everywhere else. Pillowy but gritty, smooth and soft, yet has a small tongue snap of dryness and leafy hops in the finish. Subtle and complexing; a nice surprise!

Body is way soft and airy in a round about mediumness with a semi sweet pull into a fuller place as it evens out into the airyness that softens and smoothes everything out onto the palate with an amazing ease and simplicity. Nice finish of airy fluffed dryness in cocoa, coffee and hops.

Hmmm...a surprise to say the least. A mildly flavorful delight of complex simplicity, body, and tone that really holds together well and is quite a sessionable treat from Schells.
