Gorgeous dark coppery rust color, quite clear bodied with a healthy glow and good carbonation within. A firm beige crown of about a finger high sits well before settling to a hefty skim with a few spots of lace.
Aroma is pretty solid with a bold waft to the smoked malt which brings to mind smoked fish or bacon that's tenderly sweetened and a touch peppery.
Great smokey flavor thats mildly set in overall tone and length with a clean finish. Again, slightly meaty, sausage or hard salami, come to mind on the taste with a bit of smoked trout.
Clean, round, crisp, and just under a medium body with a simple yet firm grab of smokey tones to it.
A swell Schells! Very solid little Rauchbier.
