Nice hazy rusty amber color with a finger high head of off-white fluffly foam that fades to a thin ring and drippy translucent lace.
Aroma is great once it warms up some with a nice little toastyness playing over a subdued malty sweetness, some dried wood and ripened dull fruity notes. Taste is very subdued, lightly sweet and partially toasty malts with some very light factions of herbal hops, finishing crisp and clean with a small bite and lingering creamy sweetness that lightfully sticks around awhile. Feel is a bit on the lighter side, quite close to medium, smooth and moderately creamy, and very drinkable; a decent O'fest but could use more toastyness in the flavor dept in my book.

Pours a darker amber color with good clarity. Darker for style but ok. A light fizzy head with good retention but next to no lacing.

The nose has a stronger note of caramel. Some hints of biscuit notes. Very limited Vienna notes and next to no Munich. A bit dry, would like to see more sweetness. There is a strong nutty aroma. Just not right for an ofest. Closer to an amber lager than ofest. Some minor hop and phenols. Some minor bubblegum as well.

The taste is similar. More of a caramel flavor with some bready notes. Noticeable nutty but not as bad as the nose. Some hints of Vienna and Munich. Really looking for this to be the outlining character and it really is lacking. Some minor earth hop notes. Bubblegum comes out more in the yeast but other than that mostly clean.

The body is light. A bit dry for style. Overall really disappointed. IMHO this is more of an Amber Lager and lacks the malt structure for an Ofest.

Nice and clear reddish golden color when poured into an beer stein. Good couple fingers of thick foamy white head atop. Just a bit of lacing that slowly slides down the walls of the stein.

Sweet malt with a nice touch of light caramel. Maybe a bit of the sweeter side for an Oktoberfest but still nice. Hint of sulfur.

Fairly thick malt body. Lots of nice smooth and silky caramel. Decent sweetness. Maybe a hint of light toffee at the end. Leaves a nice layer of caramel in the mouth for a bit after each gulp.

A - Pours a clear copper colored body. Some slow moving bubbles rising to the top. Small white head is fizzy and goes away too soon.

S - Sweet malts with very light caramel. Corn pops. Seems a bit too sweet.

T - Much like the smell. Sweet malts right up front. They start and last for a while. Corn and corn syrup. Light earthy bitter wash.

M - Medium bodied and a bit hard.

Overall - Not bad, just isn't doing it for me. I have had more Ofests this year than any in the past and I am learning more and more that they have to be really good to please me.
