Very clear mild copper color with a slim whitish topping that keeps a broken skim around the top with ease and laces out with a few patchy areas sticking.
Aroma is softly bready with a sweet candyish lemon quality on top.
Taste is mild with a low key underscoring of breadyness while sweet citrus creeps into the middle with a nice balance. But the finish is off for me with gritty, dryish, pithy lemoned hoppyness that then induces some slight metalic notes that don't meld well at all. The finish throws off the balance some, but alas, as it warms it does lessen up some. But not enough for me to thoroughly enjoy it fully.
Body is light/medium with an OK smoothness from front to middle, but as noted in the taste, it gets awkward at the finish with an uncomfortable hop and metal dryness that completely ruins the flow of what seemed to be some malty goodness.
Not sure what they were going for with this one, I prefer Schell's to stick with the malty lagers please.
