Firebrick pours out a clear coppery reddish color with a one finger high head of yellowy puffy loose foam that sits for a good time eventually diminishing to a solid skim on top always present and leaves tons of spotty clear lace and small sheets.

Smell is faint but present of sweetish malts, fresh and crisp, a touch of musty grain and a nice yeasty sweet bread dough quality.

Taste is more of the same with favorable but short sweetness of malts, toasty and breadish, some grainy unevenness when cold but goes away as it warms. It finishes soft and lightly drying with a bit of a yeasty bitter sweet grab that lingers nicely.

Easy and simple with close to medium body in feel with a quick creamy start and gaining some bolder qualities as it reaches the midway point and through to the clean crispy lightly dry finish. Quite a nice little brew, the finish is my favorite, and once it warms a bit is very nice and very drinkable. One of the better Schell's brews IMO.

She’s a brick…house. Pours a coppery color with good clarity and some lighter golden hues in the light. The head was pour with big bubbles and quickly faded. No lacing really to speak of.

The smell is malty with a caramel kick. A grainy touch with a sprinkle of what I think is crystal, but its rather limited. Some fruity esters with a spicey nod at the end. Maybe a mix of yeast.

The taste is limited overall. The malt presence is light and wisp and then fades from there. Rather bland malt with basic flavor. Some lighter caramel malts if you look for them. Not much of a finish, but there is a dry feeling which may cover up some.

The body is light and really deters the taste. Overall it’s a boring brick house.

A - As the name would suggest, pours a nice fiery amber colored body, clean and clear with some bubbles slowly floating to the top Beige head sits on top. Uniform sized bubbles make it up and the head is here to stay. Nice looking brew.

S - Nicely toasted malts. It's like multi grain toast. Very little hop presence on the aroma.

T - Much like the smell, this starts out with nicely toasty malts, giving flavors very similar to toasted multigrain bread. Gets sweet in the middle with some light caramel. Light earthy hops at the end. Finishes clean.

M - Medium bodied with nice, smooth carbonation.

Overall - This surprised me a bit. Not a style I get into much, but this is a pretty good beer. Decent enough flavor with a nice feel to add to it.
