Color is dark tarnished brown with ruby edges, thin tan head, whispy skim left over after fading with a thin collar; lacing moderately sticking in strings.
Aroma is quite intriguing with Reeses peanut butter cups and roastyness mixed with coffee notes when first taking it in. Carob, perhaps even alfalfa sprouts approach some of the nose as it warms. Very interesting qualities.
Taste has a nice peppering smooth vegetable oil sweetness thats struck with cocoa and chocolate, peanut butter and coffee. Very apparent drying finish of left over chocolate and cocoa mixing with a good portion of coffee. Bitterness is mild but nice of chocolate, coffee roast, and slight dry hop. Very nice finisher and one interesting taster. Subtle and complex, but not overly potent or strong.
Feel is lightly creamy, smooth, mediumness in its body, fairly hefty drying finish, but tends to ware off its effects once you get use to it. At first, the finish was absolutely wonderful but it seemed to fade off as the glass emptied.
This was oh so close to getting the next notch up in numbers, but it didn't quite bowl me over enough to do just that. But I wouldn't turn this down for nothing. A nice porter for sure and recommend trying it out.

Who doesn’t like Churchill? I mean c’mon. The pour is a rich black color with definite brown twinge and a red hues when held to the light. There is a light tan color and not much lancing.
The nose malty but not really smokey. Some hints of smoke but more of a liquid smoke ester. This is heighten more with a woody smell that almost fells like cedar. This was a really weird aroma with touches of roasted, nuts and light fruity plum notes as well.
The taste is much easier to pick up. A good malty presence with chocolate notes mixed with Marris Otter flavors. The smoke flavor is balanced well and I am still picking up some woody tastes as well. The fruity notes are more presentable with raisin more then plums. Not much astringency but a light earthy finish.
The body is full with a creamy texture that is smooth. A nice warming effect and easy to drink. Overall, I would have liked more of a smokier taste as well as a more astringent flavor, but I think the beer tastes on par with a more English style with the malt and hops. It’s Churchill for peace.

Color is dark brown out of the bottle. Very slight smell for the style. Roasted/burned malts, coffee, Faint. Taste is same as the smell - burned or roasted malts, coffee, some chocolate. A little bite from the alcohol finish.
The roasted/burn taste along with the alcohol finish holds it back a little. But a very good porter regardless.
