Mostly dark brown with some darker amber highlights, clearish black in most dull light. Nice sized dark creamy colored capping of medium girth sits fluffy, puffy, and firm for a bit before sifting to a skim and some bubbles. Good lacing with some smaller broken sheets and stringy thingys.

Aroma is mostly of cocoa powdery freshness with some malted milk balls candy sweetness with a touch of some roasted malt and grainyness.

Flavors are nearly mirrored as wiffed in its aroma with a good portion of very easy going fluffy, dusty, smooth cocoa powdery goodness with a moderate milk chocolate sweetness. Its a bit light on the buds overall and in its length of character within whats available. Dryness is light in the finish with a touch of roasted and charred malts and grains.

Body is just under medium with an easy going light fluffyness and smooth texture and a delicate but slighty firming bite of fine carbonation. Finishes lightly dry with some welcome subtlty.

Not a bad porter at all as its crafted well, it just doesn't quite blow my socks off as something solid.

Pours a light black that allows light to easily penetrate when pouring. Looks thin. Light brown head settles after a couple minutes and leaves a good layer covering the top of the brew and the walls of the glass coated in a nice layer of lacing.

Roasty malt up front with a nice bit of dry sweetness to it. Nice bit of charred malt bitterness. Touch of coffee and a bit of dark chocolate.

Silky smooth chocolate malt is abundant. Nice sweetness to it and then a bit of charred malt bitterness. Medium viscosity and a nice coffee note. Dark chocolate and a touch of dry sweetness come in at the end. Hint of dark caramel and toffee. Easy drinking and flavorful.

Served In: Snifter
