Nice amber color with a haze and creamy white head. Good floral hoppy aroma with a thin pasta-like background, very fresh and open. Excellent caramel malt flavor, and some light nut grainyness balanced in. Smooth feel, light-medium body with a very nice firm, slightly bitter finish. One good amber with great caramel and hops.

Thanks to Floydster for this extra.

This one was one of the first beers that got me into craft beers, it was one of my favorites as I explored the beer world and I have not had one in about a year or so. I hope it's still as good as I thought it was.

Pours almost a muddy brown color with a tinge of orange. About a half inch foam forms as I pour into my pint glass and it quickly falls to a thin layer.

It has a nice toasted malt character with lots of dark fruits surprisingly, I do not recall it smelling like that. Sweet potato and caramel, sweet dates, raisins, ripe figs and maybe little bit of smoke. A little nutty as well.

A more subtle dark fruit presence is detected in the taste. Toasted bread and a bit of caramel as well. Very little bitterness in the finish.

Well carbonated and very good mouthfeel. I still believe this one is among the best amber ales out there.

What is the story morning glory? Pours a darker brownish amber color with a good pour leaving an ample white head. Good frothiness but some bigger bubbles. Ok retention and decent lacing.

The nose is mostly malt up front but a nice hop finish as well. Some grainy and caramel with a nice toasted almost bready quality. Some lighter sweeter but not really sugary notes but a flare of nutty esters as well. The hops have a floral and lighter earthy smell.

The taste is similar. The malt is more prominent then what the nose first indicated. A more malty presence with stronger notes of caramel and bready flavors. The nuttiness comes out more with a off-flavored organic taste. A touch of DMS as well. There is a nice lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Some lighter floral finishing hops as well.

The body is closer to mid than full body quality. A bit chewy with good carbonation. Easy to drink but some off flavors limit this beer.
