Poured from a 220z bottle into a brandy snifter.

The color is a clear gold with two fingers of foamy head and some lacing.

The smell is a bit deep in the farmhouse flavors. Some nice clove, and fruity green grape flavor. Some funk that makes me wonder, where does it go fro here.

The taste is again funky that is just about what I expected from this beer. It comes at me from some places not expected and I am naming them as they come. A truly light at times but a deep strong aromatic beer that has some strong farmhouse feel.

The feel of this beer is light and really drinkable. A small glass will take a while to savor and during that time the true amazing flavors come out.

Do devils have genitalia, because that would confirm the word horny in this reference. The pour is a very hazy straw colored yellowy hue with some amber colors through out. A soft white head with limited retention and limited lacing through out.

The nose has a strong Belgian quality to it. To start there is a strong yeasty character with some ester/phenolics and spice notes, specifically coriander and orange peel. The malt is limited but some light bready and biscuits. Does not balance against the esters very well. Some alcohol and a light fusel on the backend.

The taste is more in balance but still one sided. The malt is muddled with some light caramel and bready notes. Some minor wheat notes but hidden by the yeast/spice. Big coriander taste with some bubblegum, pepper and cloves kicking through. Some citrus but muddled with orange, grapefruit and lemon. Some rose peal and a touch of butyric as well. The yeast notes are not as bad as the nose indicated. As is the alcohol.

The body is moderate, surprising considering the ABV. Some astringency from the spice. Carbonation is low for style. Overall I think if this beer was a bit more crisp and backs off on some of the spices, it could really be a winner. But eh.

and another Westsidethreat brew. :suds:

Straight out of my cellar.

A - Pours a bright, super clean, golden body with a nice stream of tight bubbles rising to the surface. Head starts big at about two inches and is now about a half finger. It's made up of tight, tiny bubbles and bright white.

S - Strong belgian yeastiness. Sort of has the smell of fresh apples at the apple orchard. Sweet but yet light. Light orange and coriander.

T - Starts of with some big sweet flavors of apple juice and canned pears. Fruit cocktail syrup, you know what they pack it with in the cans. Strawberry sweetness to. Man is this fruity. Nice belgian yeast flavors towards the finish, with a sweet aftertaste.

M - Medium bodied and sticky sweet. Smooth carbonation that almost makes you gulp it.

D - This brew is unbelievably drinkable for 11%. All the sweetness has you taking sip after sip. Dangerous.

Pours a murky golden color with a nice looking white foam head. Smell is lightly sour, and fruity. Very good. Wow, very nice flavor in this. Fruits, sweet, with a slight alcohol burn. Really an awesome brew here.
