Big thanks to Westsidethreat for the growler. I've wanted to try this for a couple years.
A - Pour produces a quarter inch head of tan foam. It's made up of varying sized bubbles. Recedes slowly to leave have the surface covered and a thick ring around the edges. Body is a clean garnet red. Yeah, it sort of looks like blood.
S - Oh my, what a lovely nose. Big citrusy burst, so robust you could swear it was a fresh hop ale. It's certainly gotta be dry-hopped. Pineapple, grapefruit and orange rind. Sweet malts back it up. Lovely.
T - Starts off with a fruity sweetness of ripe red fruit. Cherries and strawberries. Hops come in, citrusy with lemon and grapefruit, then comes the bitterness. It's like one wave after another of flavor here. Piney hops come in as well. Towards the end there is a bit of a biscuity dryness. My mouth is all dried out from the brash bitterness making me want another sip. And another, and another...
M - Medium bodied. Carbonation is average. This beer just seems to dry out your mouth like early versions of Surly Furious did and I love it.
Overall - This might be the best Amber I have had to date. This growler just isn't big enough. I'm going to want more as soon as this is gone.

Awesome brew. Pours a dark, murky amber that forms a nice head that lasts well. Great taste in this one. Hops up fron, along with a strong malt presence and caramel.. Great brew.
