750ml bottle.
Pours ruddy brown, with a thick cap of bubbles. The head dies down pretty quickly, leaving spotty lacing.
Aroma is caramel maltiness overlaid with boozy-cherry tartness.
The flavors here are really nice. There's a lot of complexity, and many layers to sift through. The first sensation is fruitiness like cherries, raisins, figs. Some alcohol heat then leads into nutty flavors and bitter chocolate. Swimming around in the middle are the cloves and bananas you'd expect from a weizenbock. The finish is long, competing between the fruit and malt. Very nice.
Mouthfeel has a nice creamy heft to it, without being over-bearing. Carbonation keeps the feeling light enough to balance. Superb drinkability!
