651ml bottle.

Cool looking label, it pours a clear red with a 2 finger head of foam and leaves some sticky lacing.

The smell is/must be a healthy dose of birch syrup, kind of sweet and sticky that says I'm from a tree. ;^) I'm getting some grain and a bit of a adjunct lager smell that isn't strong, thank goodness, but it's there.

Very sweet taste to it on the first sip and on later sips. The flavour of birch syrup is there alright, and I know because Alaskan used it in their Perseverance Ale as well. Nothing bitter here and the style doesn't call of it so all is right.

On the low end of medium bodied with a light to medium light amount of carbonation so the mouthfeel is pretty darned good.

It's an interesting brew. I see on the label that it needs to be stored in a cool dry place; a suggestion that it can be cellared?

Price: $7.35 Served In: Pint Glass
