2006 Vintage

Very dark, but not quite black. Quite carbonated, still. Tight lacing and thin head.

Huge smell of bourbon and alcohol hit immediately. This thing is three years old and hasn't mellowed much at all. Way in the back I get some figs and sweet smells.

Hmm...the taste doesn't match the overpowering smell. It's definitely boozy, but that's well-hidden. It is damn tasty, sweet first, but the bourbon is not in the taste. It's inhaled from the aroma and mixed in with the taste perfectly. The carbonation keeps it from being too thick, and helps the aftertaste stay clean and wanting to go back for more.
